Dig a Victory Garden!

How cute is "Come into the Garden Dad!" in this Victory Garden poster? I've been looking for inspiration through WWII posters where there was a food crisis and the public were encouraged by government to grow food for the war effort and to fight inflation. 

Given the current growing instability with supply chain disruption and rising fuel prices amid an economy imploding from 2 years of debilitating mandates, we are again at that point (*except we haven't been encouraged to grow healthy food for the 'Recovery Effort'.)

We need people to take up spades (or hoes) in droves everywhere and collaborate with our wise gardeners, and help establish abundant food systems in our backyards (or front yards). Many have extensive lawns that are only mown, but could be contributing to our Sunshine Coast Local Organic Food Economy. 

Canada's Economic Recovery is Technology focused. 

Now is the time to prepare your garden beds in readiness for March planting. February is notoriously unpredictable with rain and heat in SE Queensland.
